Dear Friends,
I was able to spend the 4th of July weekend with friends and family in Chicago. All my friends from high school (minus 1) were there which has been a rare occurrence in the past few years. Now, however, I am back in Georgia for 2 more weeks of Mortar Leader's Course. We're dealing almost completely with hand held computers which do all the work we had previously learned to do by hand. To say the least, it is much easier. All you do is plug in the data, and then you get the answer. It makes me appreciate technology.
I'm hoping to make it to Florida this weekend and soak up some sun at the beach. We'll see if that actually goes through because I'm already visiting Atlanta on Friday. Anyway, I'm pumped to return to Washington soon so that I can enjoy that beautiful West Coast summer! This Georgia weather is ridiculous...humidity is so high that you sweat if you just stand outside. Laters!
